David Clair

David founded Special Order looking for a different way to create content. He wasn’t frustrated; he was just looking for new ways to do things. Luckily clients appreciated that approach. He has produced successful branded films for Motorola, the United Nations, National Institute for Drug Abuse, online games for California Lottery, a pandemic experience for world leaders at Davos, an interactive experience for kids to learn about money sponsored by Visa and more. He is always looking for the next challenge and the next adventure.

David has also produced television series for Bravo, TLC, National Geographic, MTV and pilots for several more. He has produced and directed online series for New York Times and Time.com. He produced Lost Lake, Special Order Film’s first feature, now distributed internationally with Gravitas Ventures, High Flier and Event Film.  
Hannah Bombelles

Hannah is a writer and producer, specializing in feature documentary filmmaking. After graduating from Cornell University, she began her career as a coordinator on the Award-winning documentary THE SHORT GAME, which won the 2013 SXSW Film Festival Audience Award and was later picked up as Netflix’ first feature acquisition.

She then went on to work as production manager on a 10-episode original documentary series for Hulu entitled BEHIND THE MASK, which was nominated for a 2014 Emmy, making it Hulu’s first ever Emmy nomination.  In 2013, she joined Delirio films as a producer, where she had the pleasure of working on several award-winning films and branded content campaigns. Most recently, she completed the feature film CAN YOU DIG THIS, executive produced by John Legend.

Aaron Ohlmann

Aaron Ohlmann is a filmmaker who has lived and worked in Hollywood, Bollywood, Nollywood, and Beijing.

He’s produced and directed television for VICELAND and VICE on HBO, including episodes of “Black Market: Dispatches” shot in Cameroon, Japan and China.

He spent a year working at the UN’s International Criminal Tribunal for the Rwanda, and more recently spent time in Iraq telling the story of the UN Iraq Call Center in 360° video.

He also creates branded content for companies and nonprofits, including projects for VISA, Intel, Scion, Motorola, TED, Nintendo, and has directed awareness-raising programs for the UN Climate Summit and the UN World Humanitarian Summit.

Currently he is producing a series for Netflix with one of Hollywood’s top comedic directors.

Francisco Garcia Nava

With a background in postproduction and media theory, Francisco brings intelligence and creativity to every project. His technical and creative skills, and attention to detail never cease to amaze. Francisco’s involvement in every aspect of a production raises the bar time after time. He is also modest and would never write these kinds of things about himself, which is why David had to write this bio for him.

Francisco served as technical instructor under veteran award-winning filmmaker and UCB professor Loni Ding for 3 years - leading instruction in video editing and post-production to undergraduate and graduate students in the Ethnic Studies Department's Digital Filmmaking and Media Intervention course. He also teaches digital filmmaking courses to youth in the Northeast San Fernando Valley communities of Pacoima and Arleta, where he grew up.
Erin Heidenreich

Director-Writer-Producer of award-winning documentaries, short films, commercials and branded content. Erin's voice has been shaped by the cultures she has immersed herself in across the globe and uses the camera to see the unseen. Her passion for stories showing alternative perspectives flows into many forms: Directing a documentary in the Tribal Areas of Pakistan for GIRL UNBOUND (World Premiere 2016 Toronto International Film Festival), directing a short documentary in The Democratic Republic of the Congo for RISING SONS (World Premiere 2016 DOC NYC), and narrative work including THE STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES.

Erin 2nd Unit directed for Emmy-Award winning Doug Pray's latest documentary LEVITATED MASS (Los Angeles Film Festival), Executive Produced THE OTHER SHORE (SXSW Film Festival), Produced MISSION CONGO (Toronto International Film Festival), and Executive Produced MADE IN INDIA (Hot Docs).
Al Kamalizad

Al Kamalizad is a filmmaker, animator, and photographer in Los Angeles by way of Tehran.

Aside from his personal experiments which include a fictional documentary about planet earth falling in love with a space shuttle and an animated series inspired by tweets, he’s worked on video campaigns for ATTN, the United Nations, Amazon, Wired, Fusion, Blue Origin, American Express, Getty, and one.org.

Asako Ushio

Asako Ushio was born in Tokyo, Japan. After moving to the United States to attend San Francisco State University, she earned a degree in cinema and began a career in film editing.

Her credits include numerous documentaries as well as several commercials for clients. She received her first Emmy nomination in 2014 for the PBS series “American Masters- Make a Noise” featuring Mel Brooks. Her hobbies include rock climbing, unicycling and making cat videos.
